I'm off after tomorrow. As I my plans for tomorrow involve very limited online time and lots of chatting/eating other peoples Xmas sweets time (I'm winding down), thought I would say that now.

POLL: Xmas?

Xmas again. Got the horrible prospect of shopping at the weekend. Fortunately, I don't have that many people to buy for, due, in no small part, to my unpopularity. YAY! Every cloud etc.

Am off from tomorrow till Jan 3rd and am more or less done with work. Have had a fabulously productive week which means as of now (10:50am GMT) I could really leave and not have to worry about anything whilst away (other than one poxy meeting I need to be here for next week). The good thing about projects in an ops based business is that NOTHING HAPPENS OVER XMAS. Woop.

Xmas plans are shaping up, going to see Tenacious D on Sunday, next week I am (planning on) decorating my living room (a mere 4 months later than planned), meeting the new in-laws on Xmas eve (I'm still saying little but am sporting a large smile), then sponging off my Sister on Xmas day and my Dad on Boxing day. Not really planned out New Years yet, but not a favourite night anyway so not too fussed. May even stay in. At some point I should probably host a small soiree dans chez Pullen but who knows.

CodeMonkey - text me if you're about for a pint (or I'll text you if I haven't heard from you).

Merekat - will assume Jan 6th is on, will PM you my mobile, perhaps you would be kind enough to text me if it gets cancelled while I'm off line or let me know if any (of my dodgy) planning required.

Flights are booked.
The only thing variable is if it is a quiet night in a nice pub or a til 5am in dodgy indie clubs in unknown parts of London.

Which is a pain. Might try and organise a holiday in January to make up for it.

I fucking love Christmas. Me and my dad starting on the spirits at 8am, one of my mates coming over from Leeds for Xmas dinner and staying till boxing day, the whole family sat getting pissed together in front of the box. Fantastic.

...end up working over Xmas but hardly taken any holiday this year (even with all this time off I am carrying 9 days into next year...).

Xmas day is (still despite my attempts to be good) the one day of the year I have no issue starting off with booze.

I will be redundant. Tomorrow is my last day of work until I get a job, which should be maybe mid-January. So nice long break for me, and it means I can do my shopping on Monday morning rather than at the weekend.

Interviews are going well, and the slave traders are quoting salaries that exceed my current by quite a bit, so should have something sorted before Christmas! Which is nice.
